Join the passionate and talented chefs, farmers, fishers, winemakers, distillers and brewers of the San Juan Islands at a unique tasting event. The Bite of the San Juan Islands will showcase the amazing quality of island-grown, organic, GMO-free meats, seafood, produce, wine, cider, beer and spirits. Chefs from all three main islands—Lopez, Orcas and San Juan Islands—will partner with island farmers and food producers to create delicious bites featuring local ingredients, from San Juan Island’s Quail Croft goat cheese and heirloom fruit preserves from Girl Meets Dirt on Orcas Island to fresh wood-oven baked, wild-leavened bread from Barn Owl Bakery on Lopez.
Beverage producers will include: Kari’s Island Elixirs, San Juan Island Distillery, Westcott Bay Cider, San Juan Vineyards, Island Hoppin’ Brewery, Orcas Island Winery and Lopez Island Vineyard.
Tickets ($2 per taste ticket, with each bite priced by the chef, from 1 ticket to 4, depending on the dish) will be sold at the door, so you can enjoy just a few bites, or make a meal of it while waiting for the afternoon ferry.
