Lunch was enjoyed at Cyril’s, a beautiful urban space that is also part Clay Pigeon Winery. Luck was with us and we got to meet and visit with the proprietor, Sasha Davies! She wrote the informative book, The Guide to West Coast Cheese.
Next stop was Pastaworks, a longtime fixture in Portland. It is a specialty food store with an impressive cases of cheeses, impressive displays of wine, an impressive wall of crackers, ok, you get the picture.
That evening, we enjoyed a flight of champagne at Ambonnay, a champagne bar. Richard’s friend, sommelier David Speer is the proprietor and it is fabulous. And finally, we shared the French Meat Board at Olympic Provisions. Yum!
